Into All The World

What kind of Christians are we outside of our churches and homes? If our Christianity does not permeate every area of our lives we are not the Christians that God wants us to be. If our Christianity goes unnoticed by those we encounter we are not the Christians that God wants us to be. Too often we fail to be the Christians that God wants to be. We are like shrinking violets. I hope that truth troubles you. I observe that Christians who are the most faithful in church are usually the most faithful outside church too.

Matthew 5:14: Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Matthew 5:13: Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Isaiah 52:10: The LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

Matthew 28:18-20: And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

1 Kings 20:28: And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the LORD, Because the Syrians have said, The LORD is God of the hills, but he is not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

Joshua1:3: Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.

2 Corinthians 5:20: Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ*s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

Colossians 4:5: Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.

1 Thessalonians 4:12: That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.

Matthew 5:44: But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Matthew 19:19: Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Mark 16:15: And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Acts 1:8: But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Salt of the earth, light of the world, all the nations, the uttermost part of the earth, all the hills and valleys, every place that our feet take us, them that are without, enemies, persecutors, haters, father and mother, neighbors and every creature. The Bible teaches that we should try to make a difference for God in every place and to everyone we see or encounter. If we have no opportunity to bless them ourselves, we can at least pray for them. I am convinced that one of the joys of Heaven will be to learn how God answered our prayers for total strangers.
